Unfortunately, the comm arts site does not give credit to the BFA student who created these, however I do really love a lot of the work from this department. Here are a few favorites:
Val.... I found you!! While I was snooping through MFA painting and printmaking portfolios I came across this. I was surprised when I saw the the name! This is my favorite of the series... I like the color, line work, and shape of this piece.
I found this sketchbook by Michael Murdock online, I find it very fun to look at. I post it because I am HORRIBLE at keeping sketchbooks... I always rip pages out or start over- and I want to get better. This is inspiration to me to keep more complete sketchbooks.... also, I like his imagery.
This is work by Stefan Gesell. Most of his work is nude photography; some of which I like and others which I feel are less artistic and leaning in the direction of being mildly pornographic. These images, however, I feel are beautifully, artfully, and tastefully done.
I found this artist while browsing in Cabell Library. This artist uses earth elements along with oil paints to create her work. I find her technique of using natural pigments very unique, beautiful, and inspiring.
